Skill India Mission, the flagship programme of the Government of India, was launched in 2015 and provides a solid institutional framework at the Center and in the States for the implementation of skilling initiatives across the country. The Nodal Agency in charge of organizing all national skill development initiatives is the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The initiative is part of the 2015 National Policy on Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, which is an updated version of the 2009 National Policy on Skill Development (NPSD).

The National Skill Development Programme aims to empower India's youth by providing them with the knowledge and training they need to land jobs in a variety of industries. It also improves someone's productivity and expertise. The plan also aims to educate over 40 crore people and create a labor force by 2022. RKSK- Barwani Case Study

The Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust ( HLFPPT ) is awarded yet again with RKSK program for a period of 3 years (2019-2022). Its components include Adolescents Health Friendly Clinics at District hospital and community health centers, through its counselors based at the CHC and the DH in the district of Barwani of Madhya Pradesh. They are providing clinical and counseling services for adolescents at the facility with referral mechanism.
