Skill India Mission, the flagship programme of the Government of India, was launched in 2015 and provides a solid institutional framework at the Center and in the States for the implementation of skilling initiatives across the country. The Nodal Agency in charge of organizing all national skill development initiatives is the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The initiative is part of the 2015 National Policy on Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, which is an updated version of the 2009 National Policy on Skill Development (NPSD).
National Skill Development Programme
Beneficiaries of the Skill India Mission are entitled to the following benefits.

● Local growth will aid the economy's growth and attract foreign capital.
● A National Skill India Mission certificate attests to the recipients' skill training.

● A person can start a business and learn new skills. This expands job opportunities in India once more.
● Loans are available to salaried beneficiaries up to one crore and to self-employed beneficiaries up to three crores under this programme. If they have a steady income, they can easily pay off the remaining balance within the 20-year period.
The National Skill Development Programme aims to empower India's youth by providing them with the knowledge and training they need to land jobs in a variety of industries. It also improves someone's productivity and expertise. The plan also aims to educate over 40 crore people and create a labor force by 2022. It accomplishes this by offering a wide range of free classes and courses.
The National Skill Development Mission along with NGO working for Skill Development accounts for the events through a system that is results-oriented and aligned with contemporary business needs. This plan technically covers convergence, institutional training, overseas employment, leveraging of public infrastructure, and sustainable livelihoods.
HLFPPT, a government approved NGO, has launched the Skill Development Programme. Its goals are to develop a cadre of skilled human resources through quality training and to provide youth with sustainable livelihood options.
Since its inception in 2015, the NGO working for Skill Development has successfully trained students in a variety of courses in 14 states through an NGO for skill development across India (UP, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Mizoram, and Chhattisgarh).
