There are many senior citizens around the world who are on
their own, either there is no one in the family or not been taken care by the
family members, and many a times they are so devoid of resources that there is
no option that living on roadside. You might have seen too, but what are we
doing for their betterment. We might have enough money for our well being, but
what about those who are in need of it for bare minimum? If almighty has given
us sufficient, can we not so a little for the needy and help them live a little
better life? We surely can, right? The best way to do it is getting in touch
with NGO working for old age people,
and helping via them as they know what is the exact need. With the money that
is collected by generous hearts like you, they help the elderly in many ways:
Living
Believe it or not, even today
in India a major chunk of population is sleeping hungry everyday, this is
because they can’t earn enough in the day. It is still manageable for children
and adults as they are active and work and earn their living, but what about
old people? Are they destined to die in the scarcity of food? No, right? You
can be their helping hand.
Big companies are CSR donors for NGOs, which means they contribute for the
upliftment of society thereby supporting the needy big time for different
causes - be child health, women empowerment and education.
Healthcare
From cataract to serious
problems like asthma, nearly 60% of the elderly suffer from these kinds of
diseases at a given time, but due to lack of resources, they live with the
disorder for lifetime, which is surely curable but need money to get treated. NGO working for old age people organize health
camps for senior citizens wherein they get themselves tested and all the
medication is provided so that the diseases is not left untreated.
Everyone can do best to himself/herself but being kind to
others is the greatest gift that you can give and save many lives, especially
to those who are like your parents. They can live a healthy and happy life, if
we all do small help. The CSR donors forNGOs are doing their bit, are you?
